Today is Captain’s trophy for September. There are four flights of blistering good scores. Flight 1: The low gross winner is Camille Giuliodibari with 82. Low net honor goes to Janet Gonzales with a 94. Flight 2 includes Cindy Fuller with low gross of 65 and the Captain’s Trophy won. Well done, Cindy! Right on Cindy’s heels was Donna Quartaro with a net score of 66. The low net winner for Flight 2 is Mary Ann Diridon with 102, Flight 3 Donna Quartaro leads with a low gross of 96 and our own Superwoman of last week, Dianne Doughty, had low net of 73. In the 2 Tee Flight, the low gross winner is Renee Woolard with 97 and Low net goes to Marie LeBlanc with a 71. All the scores can be found in the Scoreboard.
The course surrendered few chip-ins today. Receiving honors and some cash are Janet Gonzales #10, Cindy Fuller #16, and Jane Hong on #4. Birdies were more plentiful. High fives to Helen Varenkamp #18, Donna Quartaro #6, Cindy Fuller #16, and Loanne Rube #11, Low putt winnings were shared by Priscilla Piper, Patti Bell and Annie Bassford with a mere putt total of 29. Congratulations to all winners.
The play schedule is absolutely full of activities for these next few weeks. Here is the big kahuna: The Club Championship starts on Thursday, September 12 and ends on September 19. There are 46 participants this year. That’s nearly double last year’s field. Kudos to Janet Gonzales for organizing our play. Expect a rousing competition with an overall Low Gross Club Champion and also low gross and low nets for each of four flights. Following golf on Thursday, September 19 there will be a reception party at Foothill Center Hole-In-One and selection of teams for the Villages Challenge. Our Captains this year are: Camille Giuliodibari, Jay Lee, Donna Quartaro and Cindy Fuller. Come play in this fun tournament. It’s a hoot!
