Only 13 days until the Villages becomes a wild and wonderful gamblin’ center for glorious golf, great food, fabulous entertainment and prizes far better than you’ll ever get in Nevada! Members are reminded to watch for multiple emails in the next ten days with instructions for the horserace, guest parking, special events, etc.
June 5 was a winning day for Jane Hong. She shot a net 67, five under par to win the June Captain’s Trophy and got the prize for Low Putts with only 28 putts for 18 holes! Great Job, Jane. Birdies: Jay Lee, (Hole 11), Gail Tuft (Hole 11) and Judy Rodriguez,(Hole 4). Chip-ins were earned by Kerry Besmehn (Hole 3), Mary Wagle (Hole 3), and Susie Q Conklin (Hole 17). No names will be mentioned but oh, some of us (including yours truly) were livin’ in three-putt-purgatory…gotta hit the putting green or get a lesson before the Invitational begins.
We were also delighted to introduce a new member, Jee Mee Sim. Jee Mee is an experienced golfer and has lived in The Villages for a few years so we are very glad she was persuaded to join our club.
