We were visited by a surprise scorcher on Tuesday’s 9/18 Hole Ladies Mixer led by our very accomplished Captain Gisele Barber. Being undaunted by the heat, 20 foursomes aspired to be the best of the field. The picnic at Gazebo Park was a “Tee-rific” success! 80 lunches were picked up from La Boulanger by George Driskell. The box lunches had a variety of very generously filled fresh deli sandwiches with chips, an apple and a dessert, which was a delicious Snickerdoodle cookie. Sheryl Driskell, our very energetic Co-captain and a very helpful former Captain Pam Short, got the food lines organized and flowing. Marlyn Unger, also a former Captain, was our dedicated photographer for the team pictures.
A loud “tweet out!” to Mazie Rice who captured a “Birdie” on hole #4.
Hole #6 allowed Anka Hoek to show off her short game, rewarding her with a “Chip-in”.
