As we reflect on 2024, we are proud to share the incredible strides made in enhancing The Villages Golf and Country Club. These accomplishments reflect our dedication to maintaining a vibrant, welcoming community in which to live, work and play!
2024 Highlights
• Stables Replaced the Hay Barn: An actual haybarn has been installed and looking forward to the completion of the drainage around the site to ensure our equestrian facilities continue to be a safe and well-maintained asset.
• Bunker Renovations: Sand traps are being upgraded to enhance both functionality and aesthetics on the golf course.
• Fitness Center: New equipment and an improved floor flow provide a modern, efficient workout environment.
• New Chef: A talented chef has joined us, elevating our dining experiences with fresh flavors and exciting menus.
• Bocce Courts: Renovated two courts and installed a new third court along with shade, new storage building, misc. others (benches, tables) are now completed, adding to our rich array of recreational amenities.
• Hill Land Trail Project: This long-awaited project has been successfully completed, improv- ing accessibility and enjoyment for all.
• Turf Reduction & Irrigation Upgrades: Along Villages Parkway, upgrades near Sonata, Del Lago, and Montgomery are well underway to support sustainability and efficiency.
• New Electronic Doors: This three-year project has been finalized, enhancing convenience and accessibility across the Club.
• Cribari Sound & Audio Upgrades: These long-planned enhancements have been approved and are now heading to contract.
• Bistro Patio Pergola (Phase 1): The removal of the tent marks the start of this exciting project, alongside firepit repairs that are now in progress.
• Business Operating Infrastructure Projects: From server modernization to Wi-Fi and net- work upgrades, these advancements are fortifying our technology backbone.
o ERP System: Implementation of a new system to streamline operations, improving overall efficiency.
o MaintainX: Work Order System
o Enhanced The Villager with quality improvements, including introducing QR codes for Clubhouse menus.
o Launched new communication platforms: redesigned public website and FastLane to FastNews, brand new Member Portal, first-ever Member Mobile App, and The Villager Online, plus new online advertising framework and design services for advertisers.
o Introduced Fireside Chats as a new GM outreach forum.
o Sustained community technology transitions with WOW sessions, Tech Corner, and ongoing member support.
o Integrated Member Portal walkthroughs into Welcome presentations.
• Fully redesigned Building C to reflect an enhanced member-inspired experience.
