On Tuesday, December 17, the Shonis closed out our 2024 golf year with a holiday party at Montgomery Center. (We included a preview of some of the photos in the last Villager.) We catered this year from Maggianos and it was delicious. Thirty-seven participants came and enjoyed the beautiful table decorations done by the Shoni “elves,” Julianna, Sabrina and Judy.
We awarded our year end trophies and uninstalled the 2024 board and installed the 2025 board: 2025 Secretary Lesley Robinson, handicaps Jan Trusso, Treasurer Peggy White, Co-Captains Joyce Baptiste and Teddy Morse, Captain Betty Hall, and membership Fran Schumaker.
Receiving a trophy for most birdies in 2024, was our co-captain, Joyce Baptiste.
Our winner of most Captain’s Trophy (net) was Donna Erickson.
And our Club Champion was Manoli Kelly.
And we absolutely surprised the winner of Most Improved Shoni golfer—Sabrina Malcolmson
Our three major winners this year were Eclectic: Schinae Ogihara, Club Champion Manoli Kelly and Most Improved: Sabrina Malcolmson.
So until 2025, Shonis are done. Here’s looking for another great season starting in January 2025.
