Michael Rogers, born September 7, 1940 died December 8, 2024. He was a consummate educator. He graduated from Hunter College where he met his wife, Judy. He started out as a classroom teacher for youngsters who had been retained for 2 years. After his Master’s in the U. of WI and advanced degrees at Columbia University, he became a guidance counselor and led two NDEA Institutes for psychologists and guidance counselor. He was selected as the youngest president of his professional organization. Michael went on to be a school administrator and the head of Pupil Personnel Services. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, a son and daughter in law and 2 grandchildren who adored him. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
