Don Tischer led an incredible life to be proud of and was beloved by family and friends. He was a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Santa Clara School of Business Administration. Don was an accomplished Officer in the Army, a CFO, and owned and ran an Executive Search company. He traveled the world extensively and even when retired, volunteered with S.C.O.R.E. (Senior Corps of Retired Executives) mentoring young entrepreneurs. He was an avid golfer always, and a long-time founding member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
The highlight of his life was meeting his sweetheart Marion at age 15 at the fair—love at first sight. They were married at age 20 and later in 1955 started their family with their daughter Robin and then soon to follow son Brian. Don and Marion were married for over 70 years.
He passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, two months shy of his 96th birthday. He will join his beloved wife Marion and son Brian in heaven. He is survived by his family, sister Marilyn, daughter Robin and son in law Rick, granddaughter Lauren (and husband Curtis) and great-grandson Bodie, granddaughter Kendall (and husband Tim) and great-granddaughters Astrid and Bridget. He will be dearly missed.
