Are you interested in creating a more sustainable future for yourselves, your children, grandchildren and all life? The Sustainable Villages Community (SVC) is seeking new members to join our, and Management’s, efforts to create a more sustainable community environment here at the Villages. Working with management, Director of Sustainability Mary Tatum, we strive to make The Villages a model sustainable community. We provide guidance and support to management’s sustainable projects as well as our own. Currently, we are assisting residents with information on rooftop solar and backup battery systems, home electrification projects like heat pump water heaters, clothes dryers and HVAC systems, and induction stove tops and eliminating single-use plastics from our lives. We also provide informative articles regularly in The Villager.
