Having just experienced an extended heat wave, I expect some of you are wondering if there is anything you can do to head off the climate changes that we and others are experiencing. If you know that your unit can’t support a solar installation, or it is too pricy for your budget, keep in mind that you can opt up to 100 percent renewable energy from San Jose Clean energy (who are our electrical energy providers). They have committed to buying and supplying enough renewable energy (solar, water, wind) to supply their customers. Their default is to supply you with 50 percent renewable, however you can opt up to 100 percent; it may cost you a few dollars more per month but it is a bargain compared to solar installations.
