For the Fourth of July Aurelia Contento of Highland Village drove her 1969 Cadillac convertible (a familiar sight around The Villages) to the San Jose Rose Garden district to take part in the Rose, White & Blue Parade that originated in 2008. The parade includes a wide variety of participants, including vintage automobiles, Scout troops, bands and elected officials riding in convertibles. Aurelia’s passenger was A Capella singer, Angela Borricua Tirado, known as “The Voice of San Jose.”
