At times, the Evergreen Villages Foundation (EVF) gets asked: “How do projects that the EVF support such as the pickleball project get initiated?”
It all starts with the Club Board of Directors (CBOD), and the Club Project Requirements Form which can be found under “CBOD Documents” on the Villages Member Portal. Once submitted to the General Manager’s office, the request is reviewed. If the project receives CBOD support by formal acceptance at a Club Board Meeting, planning can begin.
After a Club Corporation capital improvement project is approved, the EVF can become involved if the project meets EVF’s specific requirements. EVF supports new Club capital projects or the enhancement of existing Club amenities. Project request forms to initiate support are available on the EVF website, http://evfsj.org. When the EVF approves support for a project, the EVF Projects Committee, CBOD and the project contact begin discussions to determine the plan of action and funding levels.
The EVF Board looks forward to working with the CBOD as they approve new projects and looks forward to participating in future capital improvements here at the Villages. If you would like to work with the EVF and help to provide enhancements to the Villages lifestyle by contributing to the General Fund go to its website, evfsj.org and become a Sustaining Member. You can do this for as little as $5 per month. Or single one-time donations to the EVF via the website are welcome at any time.
