Take new drawing class with Swati Mohari

Swati Mohari is a new Villager, having just moved here from Cupertino. She has over 15 years of teaching experience, has a Master’s Degree in Art, and has taught art to students of all ages—from elementary school to high school to adults to elders.

She is offering a four-week drawing class to engage you as the weather turns. Her class will be held Thursdays, October 10 to 31 in the Art Room from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. The cost per student is $70. Register by emailing barb.gottesman@gmail.com by October 5.

Build your artistic foundation in this structured introduction to drawing or brush up on your skills. Learn about line variety, value, composition and perspective to create a series of artworks. Train your artistic eye through drawings from both observations and reference. Projects include still life, compositions, reference drawing and figure drawing.

Swati is an artist and an art teacher. She strongly believes in the role of art in enriching human lives, and its health benefits not only for mental health but healing and overall well-being.
