Clubhouse welcomes new Executive Chef

The Villages announces the selection of John Ilagan as the Executive Chef for the Clubhouse.

John, a Bay Area native, discovered his passion for the culinary arts through inspiration sparked by watching the Food Network. In 2009, at the age of 19, he graduated from the California Culinary Academy (CCA) an affiliate of Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco, earning his degree in Culinary Arts. He is also a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and holds the title of Certified Executive Chef (CEC). 

With a solid background as an Executive Chef, John has worked in hotels, educational institutions, corporate dining environments, and skilled nursing facilities. Recounting his long journey in the hospitality industry, Ilagan says, “Thirteen years in this business, and I still learn something new every day.” 

Chef Ilagan, as a leader of teams serving large numbers of people daily, he makes it his priority to ensure that every dish maintains the highest quality. To Ilagan, food is more than just a meal—it is the creation of a story—a story that he is dedicated to bring to life through his culinary expertise.
