Sang Nam wins first place with net 25

The Ironmen are in morning play, gathering every Thursday morning at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start, sweeps, birdie pool, and closest to the pin.

Thursday, September 26, 2024, was another sunny and warm day, great for some golf. Thirteen Ironmen played.

Larry Dorsey and Hiei Takazawa shared Third Place each with a net 27; Bill Travis won Second Place with a net 26; and Sang Nam won First Place with a net 25.

There were three Birdies today: one by Rich James on hole 3; one by Hiei Takazawa on hole 8; and the last by Bill Travis, also on hole 8.

There was no Closest to the Flag awarded today. The CTF kit was accidentally placed on the wrong hole. However, Larry Dorsey was closest to the flag on the wrong hole.

Sang Nam won Low Gross with a 28.

Three golfers shared Golfer of the Day honors: Sang Nam with low gross and first place finish; Hiei Takazawa with a third place finish and a birdie; and Bill Travis with a second place finish and a birdie. Way to go guys.

A reminder: If every Ironman at every game would take the time to fill in all divots and green damage noticed during each week’s game, we would be making a big contribution toward maintaining our own course!

The Ironmen 9 hole, par 3 group would love to add new members. We are a very sociable group, and play basically pressure-free golf. And the first round is on us. Just call Jerry Juracich at 408-440-8283. You can also visit our website at http://ironmen.vgcc.club
