Today was beautiful and cool, a lovely day to be on the golf course! And we got to lift, clean and place our balls throughout the golf course due to the recent aeration! We had several birdies and chip-ins today. Birdies: Debbie Moore #11, Monica Saneholtz #6, Helen Varenkamp #6 and #9, Lyn Strong #18, Camille Giulidibari #11, and Millie Ann Schwerin #2! Chip-ins: Diana Flanigan #16, Carol Zaccheo #17, Debbie Moore #11 and #8, Jean Beattie #4, and Patti Bell #3 and #16!
Next week is our final Guest Day for the year. Make sure the Pro Shop has your Guest’s GHIN number! The last Thursday in October is the 31st, which is Halloween. The committee has planned a fun contest for each hole. Be sure to read in instructions that morning! Costumes are encouraged or just orange and black!
We need more women to sign up for the last Saturday Tournament of 2024—November 2. Just call or email Janelle Salvatierra. Good news from VGC shared with us by Judy Owen—the bunkers are gradually being replaced starting the first week of November. They will do three holes at a time!
The slate of officers for 2025 was announced: Captain Helen – Varenkamp, Co-Captain – Mazie Rice, Co-Play Day – Michelle Chung, Co-Tournament – Susan Anderson, Co-Handicap – Janice Mahoney, and Membership – Dianne Doughty! We will vote on the slate on November 7 at our General Meeting!
