Are your photos stuck in a computer? Learn tips to display them on a wall!

The Villages Camera Club will host a presentation by our own, Paul Hastings, on the ins-and-outs of mounting and framing your own images. If you’ve ever been to one of the Villages crafts fairs you’ve seen Paul’s magnificent work, he’s an award-winning photographer and an expert in photographic printing. His talk will focus on such subjects as: why print your own photos; the tools you will need to do so, including printers, paper and other media, and mounting/framing materials; and the art of fine art printing. The presentation will take place at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, at Vineyard Center.

The 78-member Villages Camera Club comprises Villagers interested in upping their photographic skills. Although some of our members use professional photographic equipment, many of photographers use their smartphones to create extraordinary images. Whether you’re new to photography or a life-long shutterbug, the club’s programming includes monthly competitions and programs designed to make us all better photographers. Upcoming presentations include how art intersects with photography and an evening of fabulous travel photography.

We invite anyone who wants to learn the basics of printing and displaying your own images. If you are not a member of the Camera Club please contact Sy Gelman at s.gelman@ymail.com to be put on the guest list or become a member by paying the $30 annual dues–the education is priceless.
