Attention Villages Pickleball Club members!

We are excited to announce a Player Rating Clinic led by USAPA Pickleball Ambassador Sreekumar Vadakeppat. This is a fantastic opportunity to get an amateur rating and prepare for participation in upcoming tournaments.

Event Details

Date: Saturday, February 15

Time: 1:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Location: Courts 2 and 3

Format: Four players will begin every 30 minutes.

A 30-minute warm-up will be followed by 2-3 games, during which Sree will observe and provide ratings.

Players will rotate between courts as Sree evaluates each group.

Additional Information:

Internal Raters: We will have at least two internal raters assisting Sreekumar. This allows us to calibrate our accuracy, ensuring consistent and fair ratings. Moving forward, these internal raters can help rate other players as needed.

Self-Rating: Members are encouraged to self-rate first using the self-rating guidelines available at https://villagespickleball.vgcc.club/self-rating-guide/

Important Notes:

Arrival Time: Please arrive 15 minutes before your warm-up session.

Capacity: Room for approximately 24 players.

Eligibility: We aim to rate all players interested in participating in tournaments. Players planning to compete at Rossmoor or Silver Creek Valley Country Club must be rated.

Signup Information:

Registration Dates: January 31 through February 8

Requirements: Players must submit their self-rating level during registration. Directions and details can be found on the club website.

For those unable to attend the clinic, we will continue to conduct internal ratings at a later time.
