Barbara Weisend wins Captain’s Trophy

February Captain’s Trophy Day had to be moved because of the rainy weather earlier in the month but that said, it was a beautiful day on Tuesday and the scores were indicative of how much we enjoy playing in the warm sunshine. Sixty-five ladies finished the first round on the front nine with all eight holes played with the new bunkers on display. 

Our February Captain’s Trophy winner shot five under par for eight holes, very amazing for sure. Congratulations to Barbara Weisend.

Many of the ladies played well after a long hiatus from the front nine. All nine holes will be ready next week. Our flight winners for Tuesday were:

Flight One: Kitty Ohtaka, Gail Tuft, Patti Bell, Vicki Krattli, Jean Shimada, Marky Olsen, Jay Lee, and Susan Sunzeri.

Flight Two: Barbara Weisend, Diane Flanigan, Gloria Lowry, Song Cho, Emily Li, Anka Hoek, Sylvia Rozewicz and Alice glazer.

Thursday was the annual 18/9 Mixer and it was extremely successful as the field was full and the friendship amazing. Thank you to Gisele Barber, Susan Anderson, and Millie Anne Schwerin for making it such a magnificent event. Remember March usually comes in like a lion but leaves like a lamb.
