Clubhouse closed for walk-ins on Thanksgiving

The Bistro & Restaurant will be closed for walk-in service on Thanksgiving Day, November 28. We will only be open for reservation-only Thanksgiving buffets and Thanksgiving curbside meals. Thanksgiving reservations and curbside meal orders must be placed by Friday, November 22 at noon.

Bistro’s outdoor dining gets renovated!

For Villagers who lived in this community prior to the 2020 pandemic, they recall that the Bistro’s outdoor dining was nonexistent. In step with thousands of businesses across the country, The Villages Bistro pivoted to keep its doors open and, with EVF’s (Evergreen Villages Foundation) amazing financial support, guests still enjoy their outdoor dining experience. The entire shade structure creation was only to be temporary, however, just to get us through the pandemic. Two years past its start date, the Bistro’s long-term renovation has begun. Out with the old and in with the new started the morning of October 16 with the worn out overhead tent being removed. The FY24-25 Capital Replacement funds set aside for this renovation include building a pergola that replaces the tent and new umbrellas to provide additional outside protection. And what about that fire pit? Turned off years ago, the fire pit will once again warm those nearby—and just in time for the cooler weather. 

We’re excited to see the Bistro’s enhancements unfold. We think you will be thrilled with the added enjoyment these innovations will soon bring.

The following details will be in effect at the Clubhouse:

Restaurant Main Dining Room: Reservations are strongly suggested by emailing, calling or making an online reservation. 

Patio Dining reservations for the patio are for 6 or more persons.

The Bistro alcove can be reserved for parties of 8 to 10 people.

The kitchen will still close at 8 p.m., last seating at the Bistro, Patio, curbside takeout and Restaurant main dining room is 7:30 p.m.

Bistro Bar closes at 9 p.m.  Last call is at 8:30 p.m.

• Dress code for the main dining room will be enforced. During summer months, dress shorts and dress sandals will be allowed.

• Credit cards and house charges will be accepted.

• Cash will not be accepted for payment but can be left as a tip.

How does Curbside Grab-and-Go work? 

First, call in your order at 408-370-8553. Call us again when you get to the Clubhouse curbside and we will bring it out to your vehicle. A 15 percent Service Charge and Tax will be added to the price.

Notice for our Curbside customers: Due to the increased volume of orders at dinnertime, we are recommending that you call and place your order between the times of 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. We will take your order and coordinate a pick-up time later that evening. While this is not required, it should help alleviate any wait times during the peak dinnertime hours of 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

ATTENTION CURBSIDE CUSTOMERS: New legislation prohibits “Take-out service” from providing any single-use foodware accessories or standard condiments to customers unless they are requested. This is in effect now. Our staff will ask if customers need condiments such as ketchup, etc. or plastic utensils such as forks, etc. when taking orders.
