Catholic Community: Celebration Time!

By Patricia Galli

The Villages Catholic Community is part of the parish of St. Francis of Assisi on San Felipe Rd.  This week we celebrate the feast day of the Saint for which the parish is named, Francis of Assisi. Francis lived in Assisi, Italy in the 13th century and is known for his connection to nature, and practice of poverty. The Eucharist is essential to his devotion to Christ. In his instructions to his own followers Francis said for them “to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and to walk in his footsteps.”

The parish of St. Francis of Assisi on San Felipe Rd has activities all day in celebration of the Feast Day on October 5, 2024.
