Our parents taught us to be careful of strangers and respect adults. Sometimes, there wasn’t enough emphasis on strangers, adults or otherwise. Today, the lesson of respecting adults has lured some innocent children into dangerous situations because of the adults’ ulterior motives.
In our day, as teenagers and young adults, we gave little thought to hitchhiking to get across town. Our neighborhoods and cities had a sense of trust and safety, but not today! These days, many trusting and innocent individuals become victims, resulting in the loss of their lives. Their parents and friends are left with an unwelcome stranger called “Grief.”
Since the fall of humanity and the first known death, grief has come not as a guest but as an intruder, an uninvited entity holding us captive. At some point in life, we will all encounter “Grief.”
If you are having difficulty with your journey through losing a loved one (person or pet), I would like to welcome you to the Villages Chapel Grief Share Support, which is partnering with the VMA. Each Monday, for 13 weeks, commencing March 3, 2025 in the Sequoia Room from 10:30 a.m. until 12-noon.
“Our friend, we want you to know the truth about those who have died so that you will not be sad, as are those who have no hope.” {1 Thessalonians 4:13 GNT}.
Please celebrate the Good Life with us at the Villages Community Chapel in Cribari Auditorium this Sunday at 10 a.m. to be encouraged over the Word of Life and enjoy coffee and cookies with friends. The chapel is a place for needs to be met, faith to be affirmed, and new friends to embrace. You can view our worship services on YouTube at https://www.villagescommunitychapel.vgcc.club
