Community Chapel: ‘It Can Wait… No Hurry!’

A spouse or friend may ask for your help to complete a task that requires little effort. Your reply is quick… “Sure, anytime!” Time and opportunity were given, but you did not address the concern. Other things filled your plate, and no action was taken.
How often are we concerned about taking care of a need and passing it off for tomorrow? It can be more costly and time-consuming when we finally decide to address the issue.
I’ve heard people say, including myself, “I should have… when I had the chance.” Sometimes, projects or life-changing opportunities pass us by because we procrastinate, thinking we can wait until another time. The door of opportunity for life-changing experiences may occur only once, and you must act promptly. As you look into the mirror, don’t neglect to realize that time has never been on your side.
I think there comes a time in life when you don’t want to do anything about “anything!” There may be a few reasons why issues are not addressed in a timely fashion. You may have too much going on, you don’t think it’s necessary, or you no longer have the physical or mental stamina to do anything about it.
Each day, we are given an opportunity to accomplish something significant. More importantly, we have a choice of receiving eternal life when we believe that Christ died for our sins and rose from the grave. We should make this decision today and not wait until a better time because tomorrow is not promised to us.
We were created for eternity, and it is inevitable for everyone. It can’t be avoided or postponed. The good thing about living forever is that we can decide where it will be!
Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions; If it were not so, I would have told you. I’m going to prepare a place for you.” {John 14:2 KJV}
Now, making reservations!
