Explore grandeur of Italy with John Trudeau

As they say in Italy, Italian lakes and mountains are “Meraviglioso!”

Come see why! The grandeur of Italy is the stuff of which vacation dreams are made. Yes, the food is wonderful and the people are friendly, but it is the echo of the country’s mountains and lakes that call to visitors throughout the world.

Our own John Trudeau will show you why on Thursday, April 17 at 2 p.m. as he takes us through a scenic and adventuresome exploration of Italy’s lake district and the majestic Dolomite mountains. We’ll visit famous Lake Garda and Lake Como and take very scenic hikes along the rocky cliffs that hug their shores. We’ll hop a boat for a ride on Lake Como for a special perspective of the mansions and chateau that sit lakeside.

In his presentation in the Vineyard Center, John will also take us to the Parac Naziunal Svizzer in Switzerland, and along the Great Dolomite Highway to Castelrotto, Italy, noting picturesque Tyrolean villages along the way. Castelrotto is the doorway to the Italian Dolomites with their spectacular rock formations, unusual flowers and scenic trails. On eastward, to Cortina d’Ampezzo and Lake Misurina to capture spectacular sites along the way and to see the “Tre Cime” formations, three distinctive battlement-like peaks, one of the best-known mountain groups in the Dolomites.

According to John, “The scenery is spectacular, the experiences varied, and the driving was sometimes a challenge!”  To trip along with John and experience Italy in its glory, register at https://senioracademy.vgcc.club/ (note new website address).
