Hermosa/Heights residents celebrate St Patrick’s Day

More than 100 Hermosa and Heights residents joined in to participate in the “Shenanigans” celebration of St Patrick’s day at Foothill, and there were indeed shenanigans.

In addition to a wonderful meal, which of course included corned beef and cabbage, the shenanigan guests enjoyed listening to Irish ballads sung by Jason Herfurth accompanied by Dan Kato and Donna Quartaro. Table games included Irish trivia and creating limericks. Each table group came up with a limerick and then shared their creativity and humor with the group. Oh and we can’t forget that many also danced the night away.

We even had a Villages Blarney stone. Did you know that if you kiss the Blarney stone you will be blessed with the ability to speak eloquently?

Thanks to Betty Wegner and her committee (Sara English, Annie Kretowicz, Karen Hansen, Kitty Mckee, Vivian Brown, Marilee Kline, Cheryl Deason, Pat Kelban and Lois Mannix) for putting on a fabulous, fun time. Betty has worked tirelessly for the past 10 years in putting on these events for Hermosa and the Heights residents.
