Homeowners’ Corporation President’s Message—Thursday, December 19, 2024

Another year is ending and with it our reflection on what 2024 brought us. We saw a lot of changes in The Villages as the three boards and management moved forward with turf and fire reduction projects, facility upgrades and more. We also made a concerted effort to prepare for the future by beginning the development of a strategic plan.

One thing you can say about The Villages, we aren’t a stagnant community. We are keeping many of our treasured traditions while introducing new and exciting elements to make our community even better. Change requires patience, but the end result is worth it.

Fortunately for all of us, we have a dedicated team operating The Villages. The team is a mix of long-time committed employees and new team members with fresh ideas and energy. As a board director and a Villager, I am enjoying watching this team in action and seeing how well they support each other for the benefit of all of us. Go team!

Our next quarterly meeting is Thursday, March 20 at Foothill Center. This meeting is a combination business meeting and social. We’re holding it from 4 to 6 p.m. hoping that those members who are working, playing golf, bocce, pickleball, etc. will be able to stop by. Come any time between 4 and 6 so that we can have the opportunity to meet you. This is your chance to share your opinions with us as we move forward to 2025.
