The recent home tour was a resounding success! Several years ago, two new Villages residents, Melinda Dobbs and Penny Barcellos, brought a beloved tradition from their previous neighborhood to our community, creating what now after nearly a dozen years has become an annual home tour event. Melinda and Penny worked tirelessly to make this year’s tour exceptional, and their dedication truly shone.
The tour showcased an inspiring variety of beautifully remodeled homes, a delightful boutique and luncheon that earned glowing reviews. With over 400 attendees—a record high—the event, not only brought a fun day to our community, but also raised an exceptional fund total. These proceeds have been generously donated to the Villages Medical Auxiliary (VMA) to support our mission of helping residents live healthy, independent lives for as long as possible.
As a spokesperson for the VMA, I can’t express enough gratitude for this support. It’s a privilege to be the recipient of such generosity. Thank you, Melinda and Penny, and all the volunteers who make this event possible. Your hard work and dedication are deeply appreciated.
