The Ironmen are in afternoon play, gathering every Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start, sweeps, birdie pool, and closest to the pin.

Thursday, January 23, 2025, was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. A perfect day for golf. Twelve Ironmen played.

Walter Lucas won First Place with a two under par net 25! Clayton Krinard took Second Place with a net 26; and Arki Galicki and Hiei Takazawa shared Third Place with net 29s.

There were five Birdies today: one by Clayton Krinard on hole 6; one by Walter Lucas on hole 2; one by Bob Pritchard on hole 8; and two by Sang Nam on holes 4  and 8.

Sang Nam won Closest to the Flag on hole 8 at 13 inches!

Clayton Krinard won Low Gross with a 30.

Golfer of the Day honors were shared by Clayton Krinard with low gross, a second place finish, and a birdie; and Sang Nam with two birdies and closest to the flag. Way to go, guys.

A reminder: If every Ironman at every game would take the time to fill in all divots and green damage noticed during each week’s game, we would be making a big contribution toward maintaining our own course.

The Ironmen 9 hole, par 3 group would love to add new members. We are a very sociable group, and play basically pressure-free golf. And the first round is on us. Just call Jerry Juracich at 408-440-8283. You can also visit our website at ironmen.vgcc.club
