Italian Club holds Annual Membership meeting

By Sue Bacigalupi
The Village’s Italian Club held its annual meeting at the Clubhouse. We enjoyed a family style service with an Italian chopped salad, pasta in marinara sauce, chicken piccata, Italian sausages, grilled veggies and a wonderful tiramisu dessert. Our tables of eight became a “family” and we enjoyed our meal as though it was a typical Saturday night at Nonna’s house.
Our guest speaker, Kathy Winkelman, brought Italian items from the Little Italy Museum Gift Store and told us how to identify authentic artisan products. She shared with us a list of websites that carried Italian items. That shopping guide is on our website at https://italianclub.vgcc.club
Sue Bacigalupi introduced the new Italian Club Board of Directors and spoke about the calendar of events for 2025. In addition to having a shared noodle tasting event with the Chinese Club, the Italian Club will also hold a Murder Mystery Dinner, a dinner at Sara’s Vineyard and their annual Christmas Party. A large FESTA will be held on October 11, 2025 at the Cribari Center to celebrate our 25th anniversary as a club. This event will accommodate the entire Italian Club and will feature, dance bands, a caricature artist, a magician, a fortune teller, games for children, food, wine, gelato and plenty of other things to tickle our senses. If any Italian club member would like to volunteer to help on the FESTA, please contact Barbara Spencer at 303-818-3760.
