The Sustainable Villages Club recommends joining the Climate Smart San Jose Summer Challenge, sponsored by the City of San Jose. Let’s do these simple tasks to help reduce the impact of climate change.
The City of San Jose Climate Smart program has just launched the Climate Smart Summer Challenge, which runs July 1 to September 30, 2024. The Climate Smart Challenge is an online platform that allows residents to calculate their household carbon footprint, learn about and commit to actions to reduce it, as well as track the impact they are able to have by taking those actions. This summer program will give participants the opportunity to learn more about different climate action categories and the various solutions that you can integrate into your everyday lives to live more sustainably.
How it Works:
1. To sign up, complete the Interest Form to join the Summer Challenge.
2. Visit ClimateSmartSJChallenge.org to create a free account and complete your household energy profile.
3. Take action each month by completing as many climate actions on the platform as you can that are within the monthly category. You earn one entry for every action you take! The more entries, the better your chance to win an eco-friendly prize. The more Villagers enter and take action, the better chance we have to be recognized as a community.
