On Thursday, February 28, we are calling all space enthusiasts, science fans and adventurers! Don’t miss this exciting trip to the Chabot Space & Science Center, where you can explore the wonders of space, experience hands-on exhibits and enjoy a unique day with fellow travelers. From its modern planetarium to interactive exhibits and historic telescopes, the Chabot Space & Science Center is a true Bay Area gem. Dive into the mysteries of the cosmos with exhibits that explore planets, stars, and galaxies, and learn about humanity’s journey to understand the universe.

After our out-of-this-world experience, we will dine at NIDO’s Backyard for a flavorful Mexican-inspired lunch buffet. Known for its lively ambiance and delicious, locally sourced ingredients, NIDO’s offers a true taste of Oakland’s culinary scene. Enjoy dishes like chicken or carnitas tacos, arroz mexicano, frijoles pintos, house-made tortillas, and fresh guacamole while relaxing. It’s the perfect way to unwind and recap the day’s discoveries with fellow adventurers.

The trip cost per person is $145 and includes entrance to the museum, lunch, trip escort and round-trip transportation. Gratuity for the driver is already included in the price. Additional tipping is at your discretion.

We will depart from Cribari East Parking Lot at 8 a.m. with an estimated return time of 4:30 p.m. p.m. Activity level is moderate.

Registration for this trip opens Monday, November 25, in Building B. The deadline for signing up is Thursday, January 2, or sooner if seats sell out.
