Shonis welcome new members and turn out for beautiful day of golf

Missing You—I know we all miss seeing Betty on Tuesdays, but she’s still under the weather and thinking of us as we enjoy another fun day of Tuesday golf.

We are also missing Karen Rooney (working), Lesley Robinson (taking care of her husband), Barb Berman (back issues) and I’ve probably missed some others; but we hope to see them back on the links with us soon.

Welcome—On a positive note, Jan Ehrhardt is rejoining our club after several years of playing with the Long 9 Club. She was our board secretary before she moved on to the Long 9 and we are happy to have her joining us again.

Terri Matsumura completed her five games today and is now an official Shoni. Congratulations!

Today’s Game Results—We had 22 players today even though the weather when we woke up this morning made some of us want to stay in bed. It turned out to be a beautiful day for golf and our lunch afterwards in the Clubhouse. The lunch and socializing after golf make even a bad golf day good. We are lucky to have such a wonderful group of ladies in our club.

A couple of our ladies were especially happy with their day as they got birdies. Meg Rogers shot hers on Hole 3, that’s a tough one. Kathy Tanaka shot her birdie on Hole 5. Great job ladies! Now we start over with our birdie pot. Remember, you can’t win if you don’t put a quarter in the pot.

Add to that happy list Putting for Pesos winners Tricia Hardt and Manoli Kelly. Bonnie led the ladies in the game this week and I bet Tricia and Manoli are glad they participated.

We are now signing up golfers for the Shoni-Swinger mixer coming June 24. You can sign up as a single, a pair or a group. For more information, please reach out to Betty Hall, Teddy Morse or Gisele Barber. Lots of fun!
