Learn about hiking the GR20, Europe’s toughest trek

Craig Haupt will speak on hiking Corsica’s GR20 at The Villages Hiking Club’s first meeting of 2025 on Monday, January 27 at 7 p.m. at Foothill Center. Some come for the unique area—high mountains on a relatively small, Mediterranean island. Some come to challenge themselves—either for the technical trail or race against the clock. Some come for the mountain beauty. Whatever your reason, you’ll get that and likely more than you expected.

Craig is an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys varied outdoor sports, from backcountry skiing to kayak camping. He favors international travel to destinations with mountains and the associated long-distance hiking.

The program will follow a short business meeting and a break for socializing with snacks and beverages. The meeting is free and all Villagers are welcome to attend.
