Landscape Maintenance Schedule

General Maintenance Schedule (General weeding control, pruning and cleaning)

A high-level map and up-to-date outline of the vendor’s various activities for February can be found on here. The schedule reflects days for mowing, combined mowing/cleaning, cleaning, and detailing. Detailing includes pruning, pulling weeds, and detailing plant material. Bella Vista has also provided hard pruning maps which show the locations of different plant material to be hard pruned. 

• The hard pruning of salvia throughout the districts started on 2/3.

• Broadleaf application throughout all districts was scheduled for the week of 2/17.

Pest Control

  • Treatment for voles, moles, gophers, and squirrels—Village Verano, Village Cribari and Village Fairways—will occur on 2/3.

  • For Pesticide information used by the pest control vendor or the landscape vendor, please contact Customer Service at 408-223-4670 or visit the Corporation Yard at 3401 The Villages Fairway Drive. San Jose, CA 95135.
  • Lastly, the hard pruning of salvia throughout the district started on 2/3.

Watering Schedule

  • BellaVista and Management have adjusted/reduced the watering schedule based on the latest weather conditions. 

Club Maintenance

  • Clubhouse—The Bistro water feature is being inspected for a potential leak.
  • Community Street Project throughout community—Redline Paving solutions will be on-site 2/18 through 2/20 to stripe all priority one zones on the property. They will be conforming with the new Daylighting law 413 which prohibits stopping, standing, or parking within twenty feet of a crosswalk. Redline Paving will be painting red curbs within the appropriate proximity to each stop sign. 
  • Community Pool Closures—The Santa Clara Health Department (S.C.H.D.) visited The Villages on 2/17/2025. As a result of their visit, Foothill Pool and Vineyard Pool were shut down on 2/17/2025. As of 11 a.m. on 2/18/2025, the Foothill Pool was reopened. Management is actively working with The Santa Clara Health Department to get the Vineyard pool reopened as quickly as possible. Management will be meeting with the S.C.H.D. on 2/19/2025 to identify what changes need to be made to get the pool reopened. 

Association Maintenance

  • If your village is not listed below, there is not a large-scale project occurring within your community. However, Public Works continues to address ongoing standard maintenance and landscape requests within each village.
  • Village Cribari—Environmental Roofing continues to perform flat roof repairs at Cribari starting with units 5508 through 5513. A full schedule will be distributed to the village upon creation.
  •  Village Heights—Construction work continues at 8480 Grenache. You may observe some additional vendor traffic in that area. Thank you for your patience while the project is completed. Please contact Public Works should you have any questions.
  • Village Verano—All Seasons roofing was contracted to perform the roof and gutter preventative maintenance. The project began on February 3, 2025. It is expected the project will conclude February 28. Notices and a full schedule were distributed to the community. 
  • Village Montgomery—The sinkhole located where Whaley Drive and Mongomery Lane intersection is showing signs of sinking again. Management is investigating. This area is being barricaded and residents should avoid walking near the sinkhole/barricaded area.
