General Maintenance Schedule (General weeding control, pruning and cleaning)

A high-level map and up-to-date outline of the vendor’s various activities for January can here. The schedule reflects days for mowing, combined mowing/cleaning, cleaning, and detailing. Detailing includes pruning, pulling weeds, and detailing plant material.

• Pest Control
  • Treatment for voles, moles, gophers, and squirrels—Village Verano, Village Cribari and Village Fairways – will occur on 1/13.
    • (Rozol Vole Bait, Talpirid, Gopher Coetter Type 2 Bait, Rodent Bait Diphacinone .005% and .01%).
  • For Pesticide information used by the pest control vendor or the landscape vendor, please contact Customer Service at 408-223-4670 or visit the Corporation Yard at 3401 The Villages Fairway Drive. San Jose, CA 95135 or visit the Resident Portal and click on the pesticides button for pest control or landscape.
  • Watering Schedule
  • Bella Vista and Management have adjusted/reduced the watering schedule based on the latest weather conditions. 
  • Beta Sites/Non-functional turf conversions—The Villages entry along Sonata/Del Lago in progress. The Montgomery Beta Site conversion is in progress. 
  • Association Maintenance
  • If your village is not listed below, there is not a large-scale project occurring within your community. However, Public Works continues to address ongoing standard maintenance and landscape requests within each village.
  • Village Montgomery–Village gutter cleaning and roof preventative maintenance is in process.
  • Village Verano–Village gutter cleaning and roof preventative maintenance is in process.
  • Village Glen Arden–The vendor has begun tearing off the roofing for the last building in Glen Arden.
  • Village Cribari–Preconstruction meetings have been set up with Environmental Roofing to address the flat roof repairs. The meetings will occur the week of 1/13/25.
  • Village Highland–The Public Works Department is currently replacing walkway and house lights throughout this community. Our team has received the necessary additional materials and is working to complete the project.
  • Village Valle Vista–Management is working with the vendor to schedule the completion of the Fire Hardening Project.
