Each year, Senior Academy showcases a prominent personality in its Harrington Event, a tribute to Richard Harrington, who launched the Senior Academy in 2002.
This year’s speaker is none other than San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan who will share with us his current budget priorities and plans for the next four years. This event, on Monday, April 7 at 7 p.m. in the Clubhouse, is free to all Villagers, but please register at senioracademy.vgcc.club or by calling Bev Murphy at 408-613-2499. Light refreshments will be served.
Mahan was elected to the mayor’s office in 2023 after previously serving as a San Jose District Councilmember from 2021-2023. Harvard-educated, before taking public office, he was a tech entrepreneur.
