Men’s Club remembers Gary Swenson

I’m writing to share some heartbreaking news with you all this morning. It’s been tough to find the right words, but I need to let you know that we’ve lost a dear friend, a golf club legend, and a pillar of our community.

Last night, we received the devastating news that Gary Swenson has passed away. Gary was a constant presence on the golf course, always ready to tee off, rain or shine. He had this signature ski cap that he wore, and he could rock it like nobody’s business. Gary loved to mix things up and was a regular at the Wednesday games. He also enjoyed playing in George Olson’s Saturday game. But Gary wasn’t just a great golfer; he was also an amazing husband to Laura for 54 years. He was a loving father, uncle, grandfather, brother-in-law, and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Gary meant the world to all of us in our little community. He touched so many lives in different ways, and he’ll be deeply missed for a long time to come. Please send all your love and prayers to Laura during this incredibly difficult time.

Executive Committee Meeting: The Men’s Golf Club Executive Committee meets the first Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. in the Montgomery Center. The next meeting will be March 4, 2025.
