The Villages Movie Group Study Group will be discussing the movie, “The Catcher Was a Spy” on Saturday, November 23 at 5 p.m. in the Sequoia Room (Cribari). Please come and join us. 

“The Catcher Was a Spy” (available on Netflix) was released in 2018 and is based on the true story of how one of baseball’s most intellectual players became a spy for the United States during the events of World War II. In a dramatic movie starring Paul Rudd, “The Catcher Was A Spy” focuses on professional baseball catcher Moe Berg, an individual who joined the war effort in 1942 on a daring mission to prevent Nazi Germany from building an atomic bomb.
