April 17 Beat the Pro Tournament—Thank you to Director of Golf Scott Steele and Assistant Golf Pro Eric Hansen for being such good sports and making this a fun event for the club. In spite of the cool weather, ladies brought the sunshine with their excellent play. Congratulations to all the winning teams. They are listed in the Scoreboard section of the paper.
Noteworthy were the first place winners of Flight 2, Diana Hallock and Suk Pau, who shot the lowest net of the day, 53!
Vicki Krattli and Kerry Besmehn, chairs for the Handicap Tournament in May, provided a summary of the more important points of Match Play addressing scoring, order of play, hitting the wrong ball resulting in loss of hole, replaying shot when playing out of turn, teeing off outside the tee box, or putting out of turn, the different options for relief when in a bunker or when a ball is lost or out of bounds, procedure for sudden death tie breaker matches, and dispute resolution.
