Natalia Aandewiel to demo at Arts and Crafts membership meeting

On Monday, April 7 in the Cribari Conference Room at 1:45 p.m. we have a delightful artist and presentation for all of you at the Arts and Crafts membership meeting. All Villagers are welcomed. We will present Natalia Aandewiel, a Ukrainian trained artist. Natalia will demonstrate her Palette Knife painting which many of us do not practice. It will be an eye-opening experience.
Since the age of 10 she has aspired to follow the arts. Natalia graduated with honors from a special high school for gifted children in Kyiv, Ukraine. She is classically trained, and holds a master’s degree in education with a concentration in Fine Arts. She also holds a master’s degree from the National Academy of Art and Architecture in Kyiv.
Color, performance, motion and choreography have similar purposes and characteristics, and dance, music, and art meld for her. All this combined leads to its own art form. Further, she is trained in animation. She held her first personal exhibit of more than 50 artworks at the State Historical and Architectural Reserve in Uman, Ukraine.
Natalia was born in Odessa, Ukraine, a seaport, hence she is drawn to water, rocks and sky which make her feel alive. She said life is short, and after experiencing the facts of her personal life like war, loss of freedom, depression, difficult transitions, and personal health issues, Natalia finds art as a stability to help her cope with all that has molded her life. According to Natalia, art is a more than welcomed therapy.
Her life has been changed dramatically, of which we probably cannot comprehend but she is focused, experienced, driven, and Natalia has an engaging personality that will draw you in as she magically transforms a bland canvas into visual serenity.
Do join us for this engaging demonstration. You can see more of Natalia’s artwork on her Instagram page and other media.
