Fifty-seven Villagers had a lot of fun and laughter at the Hiking Club’s Soup and White Elephant Exchange on Friday, February 7. The event was planned and coordinated by the club’s VP of Social Activities, Linda Arbaugh and Bibi Bruce and their talented Social Committee at Foothill Center.
After enjoying the best of appetizers and being welcomed by me as the MC, the members tasted 14 varieties of delicious soups prepared by our Hiking Club’s “chefs.” Afterward, Villagers had tasty desserts followed by Carol Baker who led the group in singing a few hiking songs and melodies. Next the members got to choose to pick or “steal” a white elephant gift. All members definitely enjoyed the evening and carried home special gifts and beverages with happy hearts.
