Since FastNews landed in your inbox, The Villager team has been receiving feedback with one popular suggestion to offer more articles to choose from with more content accompanying them. This December, The Villager team will roll out a new design based on what we learned from you.

Instead of being pushed to The Villager Online via FastNews and remaining online to peruse additional articles, FastNews recipients attempt to go back to the FastNews email to click another highlighted article. This frustrates and was never the intention of the FastNews push emails. The new design provides more articles to select from.

The FastLane offered all the content Villagers wanted at a glance. If we continued this FastLane format, it would compete against The Villager Online and discourage Villagers from transitioning from print to online. We think that this new design accomplishes a nice compromise—without placing too much extra burden on the team. The new design offers more content with punchier links.
On November 12, we welcomed Public Safety to the FastNews lineup. With Public Safety news covered every Tuesday, FastNews now goes out every day!
