At the February 25, 2025, monthly board meeting, the Board approved for 21-day member notice proposed changes to VGCC Board Policy CPo 204 Rules Committee and CPo 207 Communications Advisory Committee prior to formal approval consideration at the March 25, 2025, monthly meeting.

CPo 204 Rules Committee:
The purpose of the proposed changes are to enhance transparency, efficiency, and alignment with governance best practices. The proposed changes aim to:
- Clearly define the process by which the Rules Committee reviews rule changes, ensuring that it operates under the direction of the Board or General Manager rather than independently initiating rule reviews.
- Align the Committee’s responsibilities with established procedural requirements, including proper notice, trial periods, and public hearings.
- Reinforce that rule change proposals may come from residents, management, or the Board, ensuring a structured and equitable review process.
- Improve documentation and transparency by requiring the Committee to maintain clear records of recommendations and their rationale.
- Reintroduce term limits on committee membership to promote consistency across all committees.
