Public Works updates for the week of April 28

• The irrigation has been activated throughout all of The Villages.

The Villages Golf and Country Club management and BellaVista are monitoring the irrigation closely and making adjustments as needed. We ask for the residents’ assistance in reporting any issues they notice with the irrigation. Irrigation is expected to run on the weekends, so, if anything is of concern, don’t hesitate to contact Public Safety. (See attached notice.)

• Lower Verano Fountain

Repairs for the lower Verano fountain are scheduled next week 4/30-5/1 by California Waterscape.

A bad cable connection was causing the lower Verano fountain to turn off. The cable will be replaced for a better connection and to prevent unexpected shut offs.

• Turf fertilization has been rescheduled for the week of 5/5.

Fertilization is being done along with the irrigation being turned back on for the best results. We ask that residents do not walk on the lawns while fertilizer is being applied. Signage will be posted at the entrance of the Village where fertilizer is being applied.

• Foothill Pool Closure

Foothill Pool and Spa will be closed Monday 4/28 until 12:00 noon. 

Genie Pool Service will be adding an Automatic Chemical Control system and new filter units. The pool equipment will need to be shut off for up to four hours for this installation affecting the jet pumps in both the pool and spa. 

• Village The Heights – Gutter Cleaning on Grenache Court & Traminer Court

Gutter cleaning will be completed by 5/2/2025.
