Public Works updates for the week of January 20

Golf Course – Hole #18 Water Feature Work 

Work continues the electrical panel for the water feature pump with plans to install the transformer/electrical panel on Monday, January 20^th. Following the installation, the week of January 27^th we will be conducting City Inspections and sign offs and complete a  Special Inspection for the anchor bolts. The work is planned to be completed by the first week of February. 

Golf Course – Bunker Project 

Earth Sculptures continues on holes 4, 5 and 8 the week of January 20^th. New sod will be applied by Delta Blue Grass to the bunkers of these holes on Monday and Tuesday. 

Wednesday, January 29^th the crew plans to move on to holes 6 & 7 to begin sand and demolition. 

Please respect the roped off areas of the bunkers and keep off the new sod until Golf Maintenance Solutions and Village Staff open them for play. Walking on the new sod will result in the maintenance team conducting extra work to keep a smooth surface.

Golf Course – Tree Maintenance 

Vasquez Tree Care continues to follow the bunker project and conduct the necessary tree maintenance on the Course trees addressing regular maintenance and priority issues. 

Verizon Tower – Planning & Construction 

The Verizon team continues to work on the permitting process, recent San Jose signage was posted to provide information pertaining to the upcoming project. As permits are approved, we will start working with the General Contractor on construction time, duration and scheduling. 

Glen Arden – Roofing Project 

All Seasons Roofing continues the last building to be reroofed at 7865 Prestwick Circle with a substantial completion the week of January 27^th. 

Cribari – Flat Roof Repairs & Recoat 

Starting January 27^th, Environmental Roofing begins the flat roof repairs at Cribari starting with units 5508 through 5513. Full schedule will be provided and distributed to the Village next week. 

Scope of work: 

• Recoat entire roofing surface and laundry rooms with Henry’s Pro-Grade 988 Silicone Roof Coating. 
• Remove and replacement of the parapet metal cap and 12” of plywood at the walls to include removal of all roofing blisters and damages. 
• Replace and replacement of all drains and drainage plumbing to the discharge exit. 

Verano – Gutter Cleaning & Roof Preventative Maintenance 

All Seasons roofing has been contracted to perform the gutter and roof preventative maintenance for the Village of Verano starting on February 3, 2025 through February 28, 2025. Notices and a full schedule will be provided to the Village next week. 

Del Lago – Drainage Repairs 

French drain installation by hillside between Del Lago and Montgomery is in progress by The Villages in-house irrigation team. Westcoast Plumbing to lift asphalt and trench to extend drain across the street to tie new drainage to the storm drain. Work is planned for Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to Thursday, January 23, 2025. Traffic will need to be rerouted during this time.
