HOA fees on the rise. We seem to have a lot of disinformation and opinions without researching the facts. The San Jose Mercury on Sunday, May 11 did the research in a front-page article stating that HOA fees in California have gone up 30% and were on the rise. The data referred to Redfin, a real estate company, and pointed out the greed of the insurance companies along with others. For example, State Farm has asked for an emergency increase of 22% and Allstate just got a 34% increase approved. It failed to address the outrageous rates from our local water company.
Another example would be HOA fees at Rossmoor, which cover fewer amenities and range from $1,200 to $2,000 a month
In closing I would like to say Thank You to the Board for doing the best job possible under some very trying circumstances.
