The answer: Put them in a garbage bin or take to a recycler retailer. When placed in the recycling bin, they can jam up the sorting equipment. However, you can recycle clean plastic bags by bringing them to a drop-off location such as a grocery store. Local options include Target located at 3155 Silver Creek Road and Sprouts located at1771 E Capitol Expressway. Otherwise, place plastic bags and film in the garbage bin. Prevent litter by putting all bags inside one bag that has been tightly tied shut. If not, they can easily blow away. Remember—recycle right.
