Members of the Villages Republican Club attended a presentation by Riley Gaines at Calvary Church in San Jose on February 6. As VIP guests, we were invited to meet her after her speech and have our photo taken with her.

Gaines is known for being an outspoken advocate against trans women competing in the highest levels of women’s swimming, stemming from her experience tying in a 200-yard NCAA freestyle race against transgender swimmer, Lia Thomas. Gaines has since put her graduate work in dentistry on hold to become a major spokesperson.

The Republican Club is planning some upcoming events, so please stay tuned for announcements.
