On March 27, Villagers attended the Member Portal Showcase, another gathering in a series of technology showcases offered to Villagers seeking a better understanding of the tools that help us stay connected to neighbors, friends, and The Villages amenities. Anita Leung, our former staff technology support, hosted the 90-minute session. Attendees learned how to personalize and update their Member Portal Profile, check to see if their listing in the Member Directory is accurate, and understand how Tee Times operate—highlighting the count-down clock, adding a Buddy, and quickly seeing what times are available. As part of the session, WOW (Welcome to Our Website) volunteers joined The Villager staff to assist with individual questions. Director of Public Safety, Matt Hidalgo, joined the volunteers to address GateAccess inquiries. It was a great success. As one member said, “I’m so happy! And I feel smarter too!” We encourage everyone to join us the last Thursday of each month at the Clubhouse for our technology showcases.
