The Villages Amateur Theatre production of “Man of La Mancha” is arriving soon at Cribari Auditorium. Wonderful sets and costumes combined with fabulous music create an environment that this talented troupe of actors is using to bring this show to life.

Based on the 17th century novel Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes, this musical, first performed on Broadway in 1965, is about Cervantes and his fellow prisoners during the Spanish Inquisition. The story is compelling, and the music is inspiring. You see a play within a play performed in a “holding cell” with the prisoners all taking on a role.

Performances are Friday, November 15, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, November 16 at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 17 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and go on sale Friday, October 25 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Sequoia Room at Cribari Center, as well as Saturday, November 9 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Sequoia Room. Tickets can be charged to your house account, and entitle the holder to a 10 percent discount on dinner at the Clubhouse on the day of the performance.

Come and join us and be thrilled by the music of Man of La Mancha performed by the cast and the “Maestro”, Larry Broderick.
