Happy Valentine’s Day from 9 Hole Women’s Golf

Here comes the much-needed rain, but before the atmospheric river arrived, the Valentines Tournament allowed many ladies to come out and enjoy the cool start but lovely end to play on Tuesday, February 11. The field was full albeit a few early withdrawals and all the ladies enjoyed a day of team golf where all we needed to be concerned about were our putts. The format allowed us all to focus on the flat stick and it showed.

Our Flight one winners this week were the team of Susan Anderson, Kerry Besmehn, Geri Wilk, and Vicki Krattli winning $8 each with 63 putts. Close behind and winning $7 each was the team of Gail Tuft, Patti Bell, Donna Quartaro, and Chris Leisy with a 64. Third place winners included Gisele Barber, Suzanne Fazzio, and Lyn Strong, and fourth place winners were Bev Poellot, Jeanne Duce, Janice Mahoney, and Emily Li.

The Second Flight winners with the low score of the day, a nice 61 putts, included Barbara Weisend, Jean Beattie, Gwen Bindon and Alice Glazer. Second place, winning in a scorecard playoff, including Carol Zaccheo, Won Cha, Laurie Gallegos and Jean Shimada, third place went to Diane Chaisson, Judy Frey, and Sherry Benz and fourth place included Josephine Chan, Kitty Ohtaka, Valerie Dimmick, and Lilwen Ma. Congratulations to you all.
